Vizsla Club of Eastern Iowa
The VCEI was founded in the late 1960’s to promote the Vizsla breed in Southeast Iowa. The founding
members were centered in the Muscatine area.

Our club membership usually includes 30-35 single and/or family memberships. Most club annual
meetings and election of officers usually is held in May of each year, with the four officers and five
directors holding office for one year terms.

Our club members have been most interested in the hunting aspects of the breed and we have
conducted AKC Licensed Field Trials in the Spring and Fall since the early 1970’s. We have also
held AKC Hunting Tests and have conducted versatility and conformance tests, too. In addition to
those events our club holds informal training sessions, fun trials, hunt club events and family picnics and dinner
meetings.

Our club members are very informal, friendly, and helpful and they love to share their experiences with the Vizsla
breed. For prospective new members, the VCEI provides a resource of information on raising, training, and caring for
your Vizsla. The club also provides a communication network for every aspect of Vizsla ownership. Although we do not
have a regular monthly newsletter, we send newsletters and announcements to all our members on upcoming
meetings, training sessions, and events. Information will be posted in this site as well.
